About Us

LEARN's Student Support Services Department is committed to providing a wide range of high-quality, customized services in support of districts’ education of students with special needs.

Student Support Services is proud to offer programs across the educational continuum from elementary school, through middle school, high school and, new in 2013-2014, at the secondary transition level. The Department works to create a safe and nurturing educational environment that will foster the individual growth of all students. Department focus is on the cognitive, social, emotional and behavioral development of students through the use of a trans-disciplinary program. This environment values individual differences, while promoting respect ,responsibility, kindness, compassion, safety and good citizenship.

LEARN works closely with local districts to customize innovative programming to meet individual needs of students. Department services spring from the application of research-based practices, attention and listening to needs, the ability to problem-solve and bring together resources to address challenges, and a strong emphasis on collaborative partnerships and relationships. The Student Support Services Department maintains an open dialogue with all parties to best meet the needs of our region’s students.
