LEARN Student Support Services is committed to providing a wide range of high-quality, customized services and interventions that support the diverse educational needs of students.
The Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy is a specialized school for students in PreK through High School.
This program is designed for young adults who have completed high school requirements for graduation, but need additional programming to prepare for transition into adult life
The Diagnostic and Wellness Center features individualized evaluations, comprehensive behavioral and mental health supports, transdisciplinary approach to programming and evaluations, and recommendations for supports.
Customized and individualized programming, comprehensive behavioral and mental health supports, a supportive environment and well-designed learning spaces, transdisciplinary approach utilizing ABA principles and other evidence-based practices.
Customized programming to promote post-school success, related services as appropriate to support independence and generalization. Supportive environments, well-designed spaces, and community access to foster independence. Internships and community integration

News & Events
Our WormED project, in partnership with Yellow Farmhouse Education Center and Stone Acre Farms, is turning organic waste into nutrient-rich compost while teaching sustainability. What started with a few small worm bins has expanded to a commercial-scale system, and we’ve recently welcomed 5 lbs of Red Wigglers to help fuel our mission. Stay tuned as we continue to grow and engage the community!
We couldn't support our community of learners in the way that we do without our passionate and dedicated staff at LEARN Student Support Services! Stop by the United Way of Southeastern Connecticut Mobile Food Pantry at Ocean Avenue LEARNing Academy! This pantry will be at OALA every 4th Thursday of the month.
